Sofia Pernas, a Moroccan born in California who was raised as a child on the coast of Orange County. In the year 2015, she graduated from the University of California San Diego and made her debut acting. Pernas, who had made small appearances in NCIS as well as Leverage prior to landing the role of Marisa in The Young and the Restless, was a familiar face on the soap opera. Following her departure from the soap-opera in the year 2016, she landed an appearance in Jane the Virgin as Catalina. The actress speaks four languages.
