Andrea Jeremiah

Andrea Maria Jeremiah is an Indian actress, singer in playback as well as a musician. She works predominantly in Tamil as well as Malayalam film languages. Her acting debut was in the Tamil film Pachaikili Muthucharam, and her Malayalam debut with Annayum is in the film. Andrea Jeremiah was born in an Anglo-Indian family living in the Arakkonam region of In Tamil Nadu.Andrea's father works as a solicitor in the Madras High Court. Her younger sister is a Belgian research assistant who is employed in Leuven. Jeremiah has a family in the vicinity of Chennai and attended National Public School before graduating from Women's Christian College. Andrea began studying classical piano at the age of eight. She was a big geek and dreamed of becoming a psychiatrist. In her twenties, she became a part of a Jackson Five-style troupe called Young Stars which formed the base of her early musical and singing career. The actress was also a stage artist in her college and was a part of several performances staged through The Madras Players and EVAM. She was also President of the Women's Christian College's Student Senate. Andrea began her theatre career by appearing in Girish Karnad's Nagamandala. She was featured in the 2006 Leo Coffee commercial alongside Shiva. The actress also acted in a serial which relayed in Podhigai channel. The actress has also appeared on stage in India. The brief appearance was in Kanda Mudhal's film's climax (2005). Gautham Menon enlisted Andrea to portray a lead character after she sang in Vettaiyaadu's Vilaiyaadu. Andrea appears as Kalyani who is a wife and mother of a man who has a romantic relationship. Andrea got the part of Kalyani following auditions.
