
Carol Lynley, born Carole Ann Jones on February 13, 1942 and died September 3, 2019 she was an American actor best well-known for her roles in Blue Denim (1959), and The Poseidon Adventure (1972). Lynley was the daughter of an Irish father and her New England mother. Prior to becoming an actor she began modeling as a child model. She won the Theatre World Award as "one of the most promising personalities for the years 1956-57" for her role in The Potting Shed. Lynley began her film career in the year by appearing in the Disney film The Light in the Forest. Her next film was Holiday for Lovers (1959) as well as Blue Denim (1959). In 1959, she was nominated for the Golden Globe Award as Most Promising Female Newcomer - Female. One year later she was again nominated for the Golden Globe Award for Most Promising Newcomer - Female in the movie Blue Denim.
